When I needed a new business card design, I turned to creativeshake.com to find a talented graphic designer. While I perused breathtaking work samples to find the perfect designer, I also reviewed each exhibitor’s bio. If I didn’t like what I read - even if the samples were excellent - I moved on to the next portfolio.

As a creative professional, you probably dedicate a lot of time to making sure your portfolio images are impeccable. After all, there's no better indication of your talent than your samples. While that’s true, a well-written bio can help seal the deal. Here are seven tips to make your bio stand out:
