Good girls go to Heaven, but bad girls go wherever they want.
Biography
Kyla Luedtke graduated with a BFA Printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design in spring of 2002. In 2003 she had the honor of working with Shared Hope International to create an edition of seven prints to awarded globally to people who had contributed significantly in the fight against human sex trafficking. In 2004 she spent 5 months at the Women's Studio Workshop, an organization for the promotion of Women Artists. Since then she has attended residencies at the Vermont Studio Center, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and the New York Mills Arts Retreat at the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center in Minnesota. Additionally she has participated in numerous exhibitions nationally. Consisting primarily of figurative representations of people in decorative, stage-like settings, her work is direct, colorful, eloquent and skillfully rendered. She creates powerful images through unique cropping and vibrant color. Kyla is currently pursuing her M.F.A. in Printmaking at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
